Ten little piggies

Little Bit loves to have animals painted on her nails. She usually asks for blue mice, but she decided she wanted to shake things up, and go for something new.

And what little girl doesn’t like pink piglets?

We used the following polishes to make these porcine cuties.

clear top coat, also used as a base coat

light pink

dark pink

I also used a small paint brush for the details

Start by painting a base coat of top coat polish.

Next, add a circle and two pointy ears in the light pink polish.

I used a small paint brush to outline the light pink shape, with the darker pink polish. Don’t worry, the brush cleans up easily with nail polish remover.

Add some eyes with the black polish and an oval snout with the white.

Outline the snout and the base of the ears with the dark pink shade.

The only thing missing is two tiny nostrils.

Finish by painting a clear top coat of polish to protect the piglets.

They held up incredibly well, even through playing in the creek for over an hour last Sunday. As of this morning they still looked good.

Have a great weekend, and as always, thanks for checking in!

    Thanks Tara,
She’s constantly begging for me to paint some kind of animal on her nail. I love it!
