These margaritas are tart and sweet all at the same time. They are my favorite drink right now and I wanted to share them with you, but most of you don’t live next door so giving you the recipe is the best I can do. I don’t like grapefruit as a rule, but these don’t taste like grapefruit. I just thought I’d mention that just in case you’re like me and don’t really like the taste of grapefruit, give these a try.
I forgot to put the fresh lime in the picture.
You want the 12 ounce Limeade. There’s a small size……….you want the big guy.
Take 2 tablespoon straight from the can undiluted and pour it in a small shallow plate.
Add 1/3 cup of sugar to another shallow dish.
Pour the remaining Limeade into a container.
Add 1 can of water to the Limeade.
Grab your glasses and dip each one in the Limeade.
And then the sugar.
The perfect sugared rims. Sweet then tart.
Add 2 cups of the Ruby Red Grapefruit juice to a pitcher.
Followed by 1 cup of the Limeade mix.
Then add 2 cups of Triple sec liqueur.
Then add 2 cups white Tequila………….I know it’s a lot, but it’s sooooo good!
Slice your lime and try to forget about how much alcohol you just put in that pitcher. I mean you’re going to share it. I love reasoning, when I reason with myself I always end up being right.
Slice the lime segment so it will hold on to the glass.
You can of course skip the fresh lime all together, but I love the color it adds.
Give it all a good stir.
And pour over ice.
I can’t tell you just how good these are.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! and Cheers!
talk to you next year…..sorry, I couldn’t help myself

Thanks for another great recipe, Caroline! My neighbor is a bit hung-over this morning due to the Ruby Red Margaritas! Hope you and yours have a very Happy New Year!

Ooops, Sorry Carolyn. They’re good, but deadly……..just as they should be. Just ask my MIL. Ha! Hope y’all had a great New Years Eve, and tell your neighbor sorry for me.
talk to you soon,

Hi Caroline,
I found you through BYC. I am a “wannabe” country girl too, although I am living my dream out in the country on a five acre acreage with my family and chickens. I grew up on a dairy farm and as I got older the more I was drawn back to the country.
Glad to have found you and I will bookmark you!
