Mr. Caterpillar came calling

This colorful caterpillar was on my front door mat this morning when I let Tansie out to the bathroom. We had a beautiful 66 degree day yesterday, and it must have thought Spring had arrived.  It was really pretty to look at, but I bet all those delicate, feathery hairs really pack a punch!

Emily Dickenson – How soft a Caterpillar steps

How soft a Caterpillar steps --
I fond one on my Hand
From such a velvet world it comes
Such plushes at command
Its soundless travels just arrest
My slow -- terrestrial eye
Intent upon its own career
What use has it for me --

see you tomorrow,

the wanna be country girl – Caroline
