I’m still here…..

It’s been a trying couple of weeks. Sorry I’ve been such an awful blogger.

Right before Christmas my left hand succumbed to carpel tunnel. Right in time for all that Christmas cooking.

And Thursday morning while leaning over to pick up a jar lid off of the floor, my back blew a gasket. Upside, muscle relaxers are really, well…relaxing, so all in all I’m not really too upset about the bulging disk on the x-ray. Good news is, I’m told it will heal perfectly with time.

So, I couldn’t help thinking of you as I sit here, propped up in this chair with pillows stuffed in any available crevasse trying to keep movement to a minimum, a block of ice on my back, eating mini snickers candy bars from the Christmas stockings that are still hanging around, and watching ‘Pride and Prejudice’ for the thousandth time. I bet Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy’s backs never give them trouble.

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year’s Eve filled with parties and great food. I might even pull an Elizabeth Taylor later and have a small glass of wine with my methocarbomal, not really, I’m not glamorous for enough for that.

Much love, and talk to you next year…..I’m blaming that last part on the meds

Ouch! I hope you feel better soon! It’s not a ruptured disk, is it? Feel better, and have a happy New Year! :)

    Hi Heather,
No, not a ruptured disk. Thank goodness, because the Doctor said the only treatment for a ruptured disk is surgery. No, it just bulging. And feeling much better now.
Have a Happy New Year too,

Ouch! My neck goes out about once a year. It’s not fun. I hope you’re feeling better and back to blogging soon.

Thanks Debbie! I’m feeling much better this weekend.
