We’re back in the saddle again, finishing our basement. We put it on the back burner for some time now, but we’re excited to get it finished.
Thinks have changed a lot since our last basement post.
We’ve got the sheet rock up, painted and all the electric is done!
Also, we just finished putting in the flooring last night…..my body is wracked with pain this morning.
I’ve decided to leave the walls painted the fresh stark white, and we painted the trim a grey~green from Benjamin Moore. We still haven’t decided just what we want the mantel piece to look like.
The men in the house have decided they really want a flat screen TV over the fireplace.
This old table came from the cellar in one of the rental houses we have. I’m going to have Billy cut the legs and it will make the perfect coffee table.
The two posts are weight-bearing, so they need to stay. I think we’ll rock the bottom of each column, and stain the tops the same deep brown color from the floor.
I went shopping yesterday and the loot is stacked in my dinning room.
I love this little rectangle lamp! I’ve kind of got a thing for lamps.
More lamps….I just can’t resist them.
The verdict’s still out on this chest. I love it, but I’m going to wait and see it in place, just in case it’s too busy.
I love this sculpture. It reminds me so much of Cisco.
It has the same mouth open…ears pinned, ready to bite a chunk out of your arm, look on its face that Cisco has.
I hope we won’t need the dinning room this weekend, because it’s just about full, and I’m headed out to hunt and gather some more this afternoon.
Have a great Friday!!!
